The Golden Leopard collective #GLC. We are a group of 6 and we act as a exhibition collaboration whist developing our individual practise with in. We all work with shape driven processes and we all want to work within a similar marketing (primarily , adult publishing / editorial/ branding.) we have a collection of knowledge and skills and with this we want to have strong focus of communication and communicating direct messages e.g. political and social issues. Our audience is 18-19 and up. Not young children as some of our work can have a dark tone.
Due to some group members being ill and lack of group organisation we didn't have time to practise and this showed whilst we where presenting. But we agreed as a group afterwards that if we had been more organised we could have improved the presenting but we did get all of our key points across , however maybe not in the clearest way. Timing as well , it felt a bit short , and again if we had practised before we could have addressed this issue and maybe found more information to fill the time. Because there were some points we missed that where good ideas for example how we could get arts council funding and having our own print facilities instead of using others , and if we decide to go ahead with this idea and it is a possibility then these are thing we will strongly consider.
I personally really enjoyed working with the lads as it was good to work with people with similar industry interests and who I have never worked with before and it was good to have new , fresh and fun ideas. We were a bit late starting the work but we got it done and reading the rational that Louis had put together made me laugh and excited to get the idea off the ground.
This could be a really good idea and would be really great if we could take this further. With a bit more structure and organisation and as a group we are well suited to our roles and can work effectively. Can't see any harm in trying to go for it ?
