Email to the art director of the New Yorker -

Dear Deanna Donegan,
Hello! My name is Megan Naylor- Wardle and I am just about to graduate from BA (Hons) Illustration at Leeds Arts University. I would love to send you some prints of my work, as I was wondering whether you could give me some feedback on them? I have been following The New Yorker for long time and it is fantastic to see that illustration is becoming an integral part of the magazine and that it is being used to help communicate challenging and difficult issues.  Also, I have been following your own illustration work and it is amazing, especially the piece you did for 212 Magazine which is stunning. I love how intricate and playful the composition is within the silhouette. When I graduate, I will be becoming a freelance illustrator specialising in publishing and editorial illustration, so any feedback on my work would be greatly appreciated, as I am very keen hopefully one day to work with the magazine. If are happy for me to send you some prints, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me – megannaylorwardle@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes,
Megan
