Quick research into the leveson enquiry.
The Leveson Enquiry was a two pat inquiry to investigate the role of the press and police in the phone hacking scandal on 13th July 2011. Part 1 of the inquiry examined the culture, practise and ethics of the press and . in particular , the relationship of the press with the public , police and politicians. The inquiry was set up by the coalitions government after the discovery that the phone of missing school girl Milly Dowler had been hacked by The News of The World. The enquire also called up to witness many well know public figures such as Jeremy Paxman (above). The result of the enquire was several regulations actioned and the closer of the News of The World.
